RESEARCH

Research advancing society, science, and economy.

ScalarSymphony’s research focuses on maintaining health, not eradicating a single disease. Our applied research into accelerated collagen production is designed to be adaptable — the same underlying methodology can be tuned toward a variety of signs of ageing, opening the door to further scientific and economic breakthroughs.

Scientists have studied the effects of electromagnetic frequencies since the early 19th century, and PEMF therapies specifically have been researched since the 1950s. As the U.S.–Soviet space race intensified, NASA invested $3.5 million into a four-year research project exploring the effects of PEMF technology on mammalian tissue — a study that produced significant results. Researchers found that low-amplitude, rapidly time-varying magnetic fields had a potent effect on cell proliferation, morphology, and gene expression. NASA’s findings pointed to better healing and regeneration of damaged tissue, greater cell longevity, accelerated cell growth, improved cellular voltage (particularly in nerve cells), and the up-regulation of genes involved in collagen production, cell restoration, and cell growth.

Since 1979, the FDA has cleared a series of specific PEMF devices for specific medical uses — beginning with the healing of non-union bone fractures, and later extending to applications like cervical spinal fusion support. This growing body of regulatory clearance reflects decades of accumulated research into PEMF’s safety and potential, and it’s the foundation our own research builds on.
